CJ Summers has an outstanding background in operations and management. CJ brings effective leadership coupled with efficient organizational skills. She participates in voluntary organizations by being a member of the American Society of Association Executives.
CJ's Key Accomplishments:
- Serves as the Executive Director for the American Cultural Resources Association.
- Served as the Associate Director of the Business Solutions Association and the National Association of Sign Supply Distributors.
- Served in the active U.S. Army for 10 years. Her experience in the military included leading a team of 55 people in a deployment to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, producing over 5 million printed flyers and circulars.
- Planned and coordinated 18 military balls and conferences with more than 300 attendees.
- Planned and executed the training of over 200 Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadets to prepare them to be the future leaders of the U.S. Army.
- Managed a company of over 250 people; managed the maintenance and tracking of over 12million dollars worth of equipment; created and implemented a system to track the medical readiness of over 750 people.
- Provided data and voice communication for the entire southern half of Korea with a 99.9% customer service satisfaction rate.
- Selected ahead of her peers for Major (only 1% of the class was selected).
- Member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
- Member of the Maryland Society of Association Executives (MSAE).
- Prior to her military service, CJ worked at C&A as a meetings and member services manager. She was responsible for activities including budgeting, financial management, membership recruitment and retention, annual meetings and promotions.
